NSUID is a Uniform Identity Card for all Nigerian Students in Tertiary Institutions at home and abroad.
The card is a benefit card that carries several benefits for any students who carries the ID card.
Students that attend all tertiary institutions including all institutions that award diplomas and certificates as long as they are recognized by the Federal Ministry of Education.
Among these are all Technical and Vocational institutions, Schools of Nursing and Midwifery, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education and Universities.
In short all post-secondary school institutions.

Students can get discounts for the purchase of Cell Phones, Computers, Air Tickets, Ground Transportation and Courier Services.

The steps are stated as follows:
1. Go to the Home page www.nsuid.com.ng and click on Get Card Menu.
2. Click Register here to get your Card.
3. Login with the Username and Password you use to register.
4. Fill the Registration Form and eventually Pay through your Debit Card.
5. After the Payment, go to the www.nsuid.com.ng and Click Print Your Card After Payment and Login
6. Print the Temporary ID card with your NSUID number.
7. Go to www.nsuid.com.ng and click on Access Student Benefit menu.
8. Enter your UserName, Password and NSUID number on your ID Card to access the benefits.

The students that holds the card can download academic books from an e-library configured specially for NANS containing about 140,000 books:
Social Science, Business/Management, History, Literature, Medicine, Science, Economics, Engineering, Religion and Political Science.
Yes, you are allowed to print, but printing is restricted to 40% and copying to 20% of the downloaded book due to copyright reasons
Offline access is limited to 60 days for any book downloaded but you can always go bank and download again.

The insurance includes term life for the student in which N1m is paid to the next of Kin in the event of the death of a student and N300,000.00 paid to the student in event of permanent disability, N200,000.00 towards medical bills and payment of Tuition and upkeep for the student in the event of death or permanent disability of the students sponsor.
All verified claims are settled within two weeks from date of report.
The NSUID does not stop any institutions from giving its students their own ID card.
You may carry them alongside one another.
The database enables the verification of the Identity card. In case if the students forgets to carry the ID, the database can be used to verify the Student Affairs Identity.
The NSUID system allocates each student registering a unique number designed using an algorithm that cannot be duplicated.
If a card is forged, the system will recognize that the card was not issued by the system. This protects the integrity of the card.
The ID Card costs N2,500.00 renewable every year.
